WELCOME! 2025-2026 School Year

Armstrong Middle School Diamonds

From the Principal...

Hello AMS Hornet Families,

I am always shocked with how quickly summer goes. It seems like we were just having our clap out for our 8th graders and now it is nearly time to welcome everyone back to the halls of AMS. When students return to the building, they will notice some changes! Our hallways have been remodeled and our learning center is under construction.  We also have some new faces on staff.

School starts for students on August 25 and it is a half day.  We look forward to seeing our students back at school!

Please visit our Kearsley Community Schools website and our AMS building page for a variety of helpful information. Suggested supplies are listed there. Here is the back to school information.

Schedules will be available in StudentVue and ParentVue after August 14 and once you have fully completed the annual renewal process.   If you have questions, please contact our office or email msauer@kearsleyschools.org.

Open House for all students is August 26 from 6:00-7:00. This is a time for students to show their families around the school and for parents / guardians to meet the AMS staff.

Please don’t hesitate to call (810-591-9929) or email with questions!

In closing, we encourage all of our students to attend school every day, give their best effort, and respect other people. Your presence and support mean so much to us, and we cannot wait to see our hallways filled with the energy and enthusiasm of our students again. Here's to a fantastic year of learning and growing together!

Attendance Matters!

Attendance Image

Research is clear—when students attend school regularly, they succeed! At Armstrong Middle School, we want every Hornet to have the best chance to learn and grow.

Please notify the Attendance Office if your student will not be attending school.

810-591-2451

Why it matters: Attendance isn’t just about grades—it’s about experiences! Students must be present to participate in extracurricular activities after school.

Lockers, Backpacks, and Cell Phones

At Armstrong Middle School, safety and learning come first!

Lockers: Every Hornet is assigned a locker for the year—your personal space to stay organized and prepared.

Backpacks: Backpacks, bags and purses are welcome on campus, but they must be stored in lockers during the school day. This keeps classrooms safe and gives everyone more room to learn!

Cell Phones/Earbuds: To help students stay focused and engaged, cell phones and earbuds/headphones should remain off and out of sight. Leaving them in a backpack in the locker is the best choice. Don’t worry—you’ll have access during lunch to stay connected.

By following these guidelines, we’re building responsibility and creating an environment where every Hornet can thrive! Thank you for your support!

Transportation
